Fits the Glock® 43X and 48. The Steel Catch Is Included.

This combo fits factory Glock® 43X and 48 frames, including MOS models. It doesn't fit the single-stack Glock® 43 or 43X/48 frames grip-chopped by our S10 service. The S15 is steel, and the polymer catch the pistol ships with isn't compatible with it, so the combo includes our steel catch.

What Is the S15 Magwell Combo 3?

S15 Magwell Combo 3 is a complete Glock® 43X / 48 upgrade in one box: three Shield Arms S15 Gen 3 15-round steel magazines, one S15 +2 extension, the black nitride steel mag catch, and a black Shield Arms Carry Magwell. Run two S15s flush at 15 and add the +2 to the third for 17 rounds with only a little added length, with the low-profile magwell guiding every magazine into the well faster. Made in the USA, with a lifetime warranty and Spring for Life on the magazines.

Two More Rounds Without the Length of a +5.

The S15 is the magazine that put Shield Arms on the map: 15 rounds, flush, in the slim Glock® 43X and 48. The Carry Magwell is its partner, a low-profile funnel that makes the reload faster and more forgiving without a bulky competition flare.

Combo 3 adds our smallest S15 extension to the box. The +2 takes an S15 to 17 rounds while adding far less length than a +5, so it works as a carry mag or a compact reload. Install the catch and the magwell once, and your 43X or 48 is fully set up.

Steel Mags Run on a Steel Catch

The S15 is steel and the catch your 43X/48 shipped with is polymer, and the two aren't compatible. This combo includes our Standard steel catch. It's a one-time install, and our installation guides cover the catch, the magwell and the extension. Another manufacturer's catch may cause reliability issues.

S15 Magwell Combo 3 FAQ

Which pistols does it fit?

Factory Glock® 43X and 48 frames, including MOS models. For the single-stack Glock® 43, see the Z-Series.

Does it work in a grip-chopped pistol?

The S15s do, but the Carry Magwell doesn't fit a frame converted by our S10 Grip Chop Service. For a chopped pistol, see S15 Combo Pack 1 and the Grip Chop Sleeve.

Do I need anything else?

No. The combo includes the steel catch the S15s run on, the hardware for the magwell and the spring for the extension. Our installation guides walk you through both.

Will my polymer 10-round mags still work?

They'll run with the steel catch, but we don't recommend it for regular use. Steel on polymer adds wear to the magazine over time.

Why a Carry Magwell and not the Premium?

The Carry Magwell adds a faster reload with minimal added bulk, which suits a 43X or 48 you carry every day. Want the widest funnel we make? Buy the Premium Magwell with Combo Pack 1.

+2 or +5?

The +2 holds 17 and adds the least length, so it can stay a carry mag. The +5 holds 20 and makes a bigger reload. Want the +5 instead? See Magwell Combo 2.

How do I install the extension?

Remove the S15 base pad, swap in the included 11-coil plus-power spring and install the extension. Follow the included instructions and our installation guides.

Does the magwell work with extensions?

Yes. It runs the S15 with or without extensions, the S20, both factory Glock® 43X/48 magazines and every aftermarket 43X/48 mag we know of.

Can I get it in another color?

This combo is black only. The Carry Magwell sold on its own comes in Black, Red, Grey, Mud, ODA Green and Gold.

What is Spring for Life?

Free replacement magazine springs for as long as you own your S15s and extension. See the program.

What's covered?

QPQ Nitrocarburizing Surface Treatment

Used on: magazines, barrels, slides

QPQ Nitrocarburizing is a type of surface treatment used to enhance the durability and corrosion resistance of metal parts. The process involves heating the metal in a controlled environment, where nitrogen and carbon are introduced to the surface of the metal. This forms a thin layer of a hard compound called "nitrides," which increase the surface hardness of the metal.

During the QPQ Nitrocarburizing process, the metal is immersed in a special salt bath and heated to high temperatures. The salt bath contains a mixture of chemicals that release nitrogen and carbon, which penetrate the surface of the metal. The process is carefully controlled to ensure that the nitrogen and carbon penetrate to a specific depth, creating a uniform layer of nitrides on the metal's surface.

The resulting nitride layer provides many benefits to the metal parts, including increased hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. This treatment helps to increase the lifespan and durability of metal parts, making them more reliable and long-lasting.

Any “scuffing” you see in the surface finish is completely normal, and will not affect the durability or corrosion resistance of the steel.
